Who Is Indiebird?

Hi, I’m Vira De, the founder (and everything else!) behind Indiebird.

I grew up in India, surrounded by the color and sparkle of Indian jewelry. I still remember the thrill of picking out pendant earrings and mini jhumkas, and how special I felt wearing them on my favorite festivals.

When I moved to the US, I missed that beauty. I noticed how hard it was to find Indian jewelry that felt special, was affordable, and was easy to wear.

That’s how Indiebird was born. 

I wanted to bring that feeling to more people and share a snapshot of what Indian artistry has to offer with a wider audience.

Every piece in my collection is chosen with versatility in mind, it can be styled with many different outfits, from festive wear to everyday Western looks.

I work closely with trusted artisans and partners in India to bring you Kundan and ethnic pieces that honor centuries-old craft but suit the way we dress today. Every piece is hand-picked by me, and packed by me before it reaches you.
